This demonstration shows retrieval of similar textures, regardless illumination conditions.

The Outex texture database consists of images of various materials, each acquired under three different illuminations (horizon, inca, tl84). The horizon illumination is similar to horizon sun light, inca is white illumination and tl84 is fluorescent.

Click on the image and system will find other similar images. The images are considered to be similar if the structure is similar, regardless colour or direction of illumination. The result images are ordered from left to right and top to bottom. The first is image is the most similar and then dissimilarity increases.
